Product overview:

New to our range is the Fukuda GREEN beam Multi-Line laser level with brighter line visibility and included FD-9G Detector for Outdoor use.

The FLG-411QGD Laser Cross & Line level is an intensely bright, GREEN beam instrument with one horizontal & FOUR vertical lines set at 90 degrees to each other. All are auto (self) levelling.

When we say "intense" we mean it!  If you want bright beams then this is the laser to go for.

A red down dot enables the User to set plumb between the ceiling green cross & setting-out dot below the instrument.

Floor & ceiling squaring is easy to set by using the fine adjusting screw on the rotate base.

The FLG-411QGD can be placed on any generally level, firm surface (it auto levels itself) or mounted on our many laser accessories via its base 5/8" thread.

A transit latch protects the laser when moved around or transported. This latch doubles as an ON/OFF switch too and ALL the laser lines can be operated individually.

There is the option to exclude the detector from the kit, if required.

Calibration and servicing:

We check and calibrate all Lasers prior to dispatch, to ensure they meet or exceed the manufacturers published specifications at the time of shipment from the factory.
If you routinely work on large job sites, which require you to have a physical Calibration certificate, issued in your name and matched to the Laser via its serial number, you must ensure you tick the above box marked "Paper Certificate" (where applicable) to add a Calibration certificate to your order. The Certificate will then be generated and included with your Laser. Please note the issuing of a Calibration certificate DOES NOT delay or hold up the despatch of your Laser in any way.

Question:

can you buy the ek411g without the detector

Posted by Joe bishop on Sunday 22nd of June 2014

Question:

Just had the delivery of my new laser Ek-411g , Dearneside fabrications, there seems to be extra distorted green lines other than the the main one on all sides. Should this be happening ? Can someone please give me a call (telephone number removed), this was bought on the understanding that the green laser was better used out doors and as you say on your website more brighter than a standard red one , am I doing something wrong? Thanks

    Hi Joe,

    Thank you for your email.

I will ask someone in Technical to give you a ring on Monday, however to alleviate some of your concerns I will cover the points you raised as well....

    1) It is normal with Green beam cross line lasers (especially those with multiple simultaneous beams) to have some minor beam refraction. However, this is only usually really apparent when you have the laser mounted in a corner very close to wall or similar and particularly in alcoves. However, by all means please send us a photo from your camera phone to sales@laser-level.co.uk and we will have a look to be sure it's nothing abnormal.

    2) Green beam lasers are around 3-4 times brighter than red beams when used inside and produce an intensely bright green beam.
Regardless of brand and regardless of price (i.e whether you have paid £400 or £4,000) if you user a Laser outside, you always use a Laser Detector (also known as a receiver) to pickup the beam. This is because even though green beam lasers are class 3A (the brightest permissible in Europe) and even if it's used on a dull English day you will still struggle to see the beam outside anything further than a metre from the Laser. You will see at close range a slightly brighter beam outside with the green than with an equivalent red but as I say the rule of thumb is that regardless of beam colour, when used outside you always use a detector.

If you were able to see the beam outside at distance it would need to be so powerful it would have to be mains powered and if you got in front of the beam you would run the risk of it burning you - which obviously cannot happen.

Most green beam lasers are designed to be used by internal only trades and have no option to be paired with a detector. i.e. they cannot be used outside. The EK-411G is different in that it has been specifically designed to be used inside (giving an intensely bright beam seen by the naked eye) as well as outside using the FD-9G detector giving it a range of 50m.

    I hope this helps.

If you have any further questions or require any additional assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best regards
