Product overview:

The Stanley Fatmax FCL-G sets new standards in the field of green beam, cross line laser levels.

Combining accurate & intensely, 4x brighter laser lines in a sleek ergonomically designed body, this Fatmax model is fast becoming a "favourite" with the Interior Trades.

Add an optional detector (model LD200G) to increase the useable cross range to 50 metres - its now a very flexible instrument for both indoor & small scale, outdoor sitework. Or for a reduced range of 40m, the Fukuda FD-9G detector is also compatible.

Another useful feature is that the instrument will sit on its back & with the laser Cross unlocked, a bright laser Cross can be projected to any position on a ceiling. Used for aligning halogen lights and many other similar indoor applications.

All in all, its a very versatile instrument.

Question:

Good morning, Just looking at this item, Stanley FatMax FCL-G, and have the following questions please: 1. Does the item have a mode to "lock" the pendulum so that it can be used to align items on an incline? It looks like turning the device on unlocks the pendulum and vice versa... 2. Does the item have a laser spot to transfer a mark from floor to ceiling? 3. Does the item's vertical laser wrap around to directly above and below the item to allow manually transferring a mark from the floor to ceiling? 4. Your description states that the device can be put on its back to project a cross on the ceiling; does the pendulum auto level when doing this such that the cross is directly above the device? Thanks, Mark.

    Hi

    1. The FCL-G cannot be operated unless the transit latch (for the pendulum) is released. If the laser is set to an incline of greater than 4 degrees it will operate the green cross but it quickly flashes every 5 secs to say its in an incline mode. So inclines can be set with this laser.

    2. It does not transfer a mark on the floor to the ceiling to set plumb. Instead the Stanley X3G will do this.

    3. To have a long vertical "wrap around" laser line you again would need the X3G instead.

    4. When the FCL-G instrument is sat on its back, it simply gives a green cross on the ceiling for alignment purposes only. Again it does not plumb the cross from ceiling back to a datum on the floor.

    Best regards

    Ian

Can this be fixed to a brick wall. If so what additional equipment will be required.

The mini tripod supplied with the FCL-G can be folded down into an L shaped bracket which can be fixed to the wall.  No additional equipment is required.
