Following some sound presales advice from Laser-Levels over the phone, I purchased a Fukuda FRE-203XR kit with upgraded detector.

The equpment arrived nexct working day in unbranded packaging and my first instict was to suspect that the unit would be a low quality far eastern product with questionable usability and a terrible instruction manual.

Thankfully, that has proven not to be the case.

Looking beyond my first impressions, it would seem that the FRE-203XR is actually much better than I expected.

The unit itself comes in a decent, rugged plastic case and is straightforward to setup and operate. Laser-Levels provide a very good set of instructions with scenarios laid out. All good.

Accessories seem to be of acceptable quality too - plus everything works as you would expect.

My only minor niggle would be that the protected beam is quite large - but extremely stable.

Overall, I like it - and for the price its great value. Service from Laser Levels Online is pretty good - ordered before 3pm and arrive next day in Scotland. Can't complain.
