Question:

Does this project lines on the floor fo floor tiling

Answers:

  • Posted by Laser Levels Online - Support on Friday 9th of September 2016

    Hi Peter,

Yes, it projects lines onto the floor, but these beams are not seen in "free space". i.e. when the beam is broken or crossed then it will appear.

You can see a beam pattern diagram hhere:

    I hope this helps.

Question:

Can this laser be used to line up decking for steps on the exterior of boats in sunlight. Not possible to use a detector for this application. Maximum length would be 5m. Cheers

Answers:

  • Posted by Laser Levels Online - Support on Monday 1st of August 2016

    Hi David,

    Thank you for your message.

The rule of thumb is that when you work outside you will always need a detector. Especially for anything over 1m.

Therfore if it is not possible for you to use a detector for your application - then this and other lasers would not be suitable.

If you have any further questions or require any additional assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Question:

Can it be used to set out brick work in sun light

Answers:

  • Posted by Laser Levels Online - Support on Monday 25th of July 2016

    Hi Nigel,

    Thank you for your message.

If you plan to work outside, long range or in bright conditions, you will always need to use a laser detector with your laser level. This applies to all makes and models and for both red & green lasers.

Therefore if you want to work in bright sunlight with the SML, you will need to use the included LD200 Detector which will allow you to pick-up the beam and show your levels.

If you have any further questions or require any additional assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Question:

does it need a wall mounting bracket ?

Answers:

  • Posted by Laser Levels Online - Support on Tuesday 4th of November 2014

    Hi,

No, it's doesn't specifically require a wall bracket in order to operate, but it can be used in conjuction with a wall bracket, tripod or floor to ceiling pillar kit if needed.

A good wall bracket would be this one:

    http://www.laser-level.co.uk/products/accessories/1-77-172-stanley-wall-bracket.html

or you could use this Tripod:

    http://www.laser-level.co.uk/products/tripods-staffs-rods/tri-02-photographic-tripod.html

Or this floor to ceiling pillar kit:

    http://www.laser-level.co.uk/products/stanley-lasers-and-equipment/stanley-laser-pole-and-bracket.html

    I hope this helps.
