They used to be a brilliant laser but in the last couple of years they seem to have reduced the quality. Firstly the self leveling is no where near as good. You used to put it on a steep angle and it would self level, now you basically have to level it yourself. Secondly its not as bright as it used to be. (Posted on 16/02/2017)

Bought this as a second unit as its been a valuable tool for installing dado trunking right around a room. It has a wide beam angle and lets me mark out a whole room with out having to reposition the tripod each time. the old one is very robust and has had a few knocks, even a few 1.5m drops. still works well and perfect every time. Used one of these one of these excellent laser levels several times, recently bought my own and bought a "Stanley 3.6m Extension Pole kit" to go with it. Compliments it well, use it as a floor to ceiling pole most of the time or as a tripod if some ones hammering around up stairs (vibration can cause the line it to wobble ever so slightly). Makes kitchen fitting, tiling, socket alignment, transferring level lines around a room so much easier. (Posted on 19/03/2014)

Very quick and accurate for framework, with a vast array of uses I would definitely recommend this laser to any other Carpenters.

Bought Dewalt laser @ 3pm Wednesday via web site, arrived 9am next morning. Brilliant bit of kit does exactly what it says on the box, makes the establishment of correct installation of doors and windows but a moments work! Self leveling is great and the extra brackets and magnetic attachment are very useful. (Posted on 17/05/2013)
